UN Day Rocks Beacon Academy

Our wonderful parents deserve all the credit as Beacon's first ever United Nations' (UN) Day was a roaring success. Their commitment and passion was unquestionable as groups of mothers, and even fathers were involved in getting their stalls ready one day prior to the event.
More importantly, the children had a fantastic time during the event. Carrying a Beacon passport, each student received stamps or stickers not only for every country visited, but every food tried and activitiy experienced - some of which were quite 'adventerous' to say the least.
Beacon would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to our parents for their undying enthusiasm and support in ensuring the success of such events. Parents will be pleased to know that we had members of the media among us on the day as well. Reporters from the national English newspaper, The Jakarta Post and local-area magazine Media Kawasan was with us on the day, and were extremely intrigued by what they saw.
